Unsubscribe from newsletters

Reading & organizing

Newton can unsubscribe you from newsletters and mailing lists. On desktop, use Manage Subscriptions to see your newsletters in one list, or unsubscribe from the email you're reading. On your phone, Newton opens the sender's unsubscribe page in your browser.

Steps

Desktop

To review all your newsletters:

  1. Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux) to open the command bar.
  2. Choose Manage Subscriptions. Newton scans your mail for newsletters.
  3. Click Unsubscribe next to a sender.

To unsubscribe from the email you're reading, press ⌘K (Ctrl+K) and choose Unsubscribe from this sender.

If the sender supports one-click unsubscribe, Newton unsubscribes you straight away. Otherwise it opens the sender's unsubscribe page in your browser, or starts an unsubscribe email in your default mail app for you to send.

iPhone, iPad & Android

  1. Open an email from the sender.
  2. Tap ••• in the bar at the bottom.
  3. Tap Unsubscribe, then Open.
  4. Finish unsubscribing on the sender's page in your browser.

Good to know

  • Unsubscribing stops future mail. It doesn't remove the emails you already have.
  • Manage Subscriptions looks through mail already downloaded to your computer, so it may not list every sender.
  • On a phone, Unsubscribe appears only when the sender includes an unsubscribe link.
  • To keep a sender's mail out of your Inbox without unsubscribing, use Move to Low Priority.
