Which email accounts work with Newton?

Newton works with Gmail and Google Workspace, Outlook, Hotmail and Microsoft 365, and any mailbox you can reach over IMAP, such as iCloud, Yahoo, AOL, Fastmail, Zoho and GMX. It doesn't support POP, or Exchange servers that your organization runs itself.

How it works

iCloud, Yahoo, AOL and Fastmail need an app-specific password instead of your normal password.

Newton doesn't support:

• POP accounts.
• Exchange servers that your organization runs on its own servers. If the server has IMAP turned on, you can add the account with IMAP instead.

Good to know

• You add an account once. It shows up on every device where you sign in to Newton.
• Some features depend on the provider. Filters work with Gmail and Outlook only, and only Gmail aliases sync from the provider. Tidy Inbox sorts Gmail and Outlook mail automatically; for IMAP accounts it uses only your sender rules.
• The calendar in the desktop app works with Google accounts only.
• In the mobile app, the Free plan includes two accounts. Adding a third there needs Newton Pro.
