What’s New in Newton — April

April was eventful. We’ve recently launched the Newton Alexa Skill and Windows Beta. Even with such significant projects around, our team managed to add some nifty updates to the app. Some of the features are among the most requested of all time: Auto-bcc and option to create folders.

Here’s the complete list of features and improvements in the latest version of our iOS and Mac apps, launched last week.

  • Create Folders — Click on the plus button on the folder list (Mac only) OR Type a new folder name while moving emails.
  • RSVP to calendar invites on all accounts, within the app.
  • Auto-BCC all the emails you send to specified email addresses. Preferences > Email Accounts > Auto-BCC.
  • Send again — Click on the 3 dots button on an email you have sent in the past to get this option.
  • Tapping on sender’s picture in Read Receipts popup would show Sender Profile.
  • The New Mail notification sound will now be used for Read Receipts and Snooze notifications as well, as set per account
  • The customary, but honest: Multiple bug fixes and performance improvements

Do you like the new update? Give us a shout-out on Twitter. If you’re not on the latest version yet, get it now.

All these features will be coming to Android very soon. Follow Paper Planes for regular updates on Newton.
