The MCP Server lets an AI assistant, such as Claude or ChatGPT, search, read, organize and send your email through your Newton account. You add Newton in the assistant's settings using a server URL, then approve access by signing in to Newton.
Steps
In Newton, open Settings › Supercharge › MCP Server. On desktop, press ⌘, on Mac, or Ctrl+, on Windows and Linux. On your phone, open the menu and tap the Settings gear.
Click or tap Copy next to the server URL, https://account.newtonhq.com/mcp.
In Claude or ChatGPT, open Settings › Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
Paste the URL and confirm. In Claude, then click Connect.
Sign in to your Newton account and approve the access request.
Turn on Newton in a chat. In ChatGPT, you'll find it in the tools menu.
Newton shows these steps too, under Set up. To remove an assistant, find it under Connected apps in the same place, click or tap Disconnect, and confirm.
Good to know
ChatGPT needs a plan that includes custom connectors.
After you disconnect, access the assistant already has can last up to an hour.
Each hour, your assistants can make up to 300 reads, 30 sends, drafts or scheduled emails, and 1,000 organizing actions such as archiving or starring. They can't move email to Trash or Spam.
