The static ‘wait screen’ on Zomato

This is Zomato’s Android app screen that shows me there’s 14 minutes left for the food to arrive. My problem with this screen is that it’s static, as same as it is right now on that screenshot. It doesn't give me a sense of time ticking. Yes there’s a count down graphic, but it moves only once in a minute. It’s so static that after a point I don’t know whether it is showing 14 minutes wait time, or 14 minutes since I ordered. Basically I don’t know if it’s a count down or a count up.

It’ll be nice if this screen had a digital stop watch, counting down seconds and micro seconds. Or at least the current round timer should go one full round every minute.

Also, I’ve never seen that timeline show ‘On the way’. After being ‘In Kitchen’ till the last minute, I get a call from the delivery guy asking the route to my place. Fixing this will also improve the perception of speed. Something should change every now and then. How about a mini game while I wait?
