New: Exchange GAL, Bigger attachments & more

At Newton, we’re constantly working on enhancing your email experience and our latest update comes packed with many improvements. Here’s a quick rundown…

Exchange GAL Contacts

For Exchange users, while composing an email, Newton will now auto-suggest contacts from your organization’s contacts directory.

Send bigger attachments

You can now send attachments of any size that your parent service allows (up from 10 MB per file to whatever your email services like Gmail, iCloud, Hotmail support). For Exchange and IMAP accounts, go to Settings > Email accounts > Max attachment size and set the limit, after checking with your system admin.

Share mails using Mac share extensions

This should support saving emails to OmniFocus.

Improvements in attachment downloads

Select download location, download all button and other improvements.

Set notification sounds per account

Now set a different notifications sound for every account on Mac app. Apple doesn’t allow apps installed from Mac App Store to have custom sounds for push notifications. So only standard sounds supported for now.

More keyboard shortcuts in Compose

1. ⌘ + Shift + 2 — Jump to To field
2. Enter — Go to next field
3. Shift + Enter — When in To field, go to CC. When in CC, go to BCC
4. Shift + Tab — Go to previous field
5. ⌘ + T — Fonts
6. ⌘ + Shift + L — Send Later
7. ⌘ + Shift + K — Remind if not replied
8. ⌘ + Shift + J — Notify when read
9. ⌘ + Option + Delete — Changed shortcut for Discard draft. This solves the problem of ⌘ + Shift + Delete overlapping a default mac behavior.

• ⌘ + Up Arrow Key or Click on the toolbar — Scroll to top
• Delete key or D — Delete mail. If you don’t want Delete key, you can disable it in preferences.
