Payment methods, currencies and invoices

Plans & billing

On the web and in the desktop app, you pay for Newton Pro by card through Stripe, our payment provider. In the iPhone, iPad and Android apps, Apple or Google charges your store account.

How it works

  • Paying on the web. When you subscribe on the web or in the desktop app, checkout opens on a Stripe page, where you enter your card.
  • Currency. Web prices are in US dollars, or in Indian rupees if you're in India. Newton picks the currency from the country you're connecting from, and you're charged in the currency you see.
  • Changing your card. Click Manage subscription in Settings › Profile on desktop, or under Profile › Subscription at account.newtonhq.com. The billing portal opens.
  • App Store and Google Play. Payment is charged to your store account. Apple and Google set prices for each country, so they can differ from the web price, and receipts for these purchases come from Apple or Google.

Good to know

  • If a payment fails, your plan shows Payment past due — update your card. Update it with Manage subscription.
  • The phone apps show the App Store or Google Play price in your local currency.
